St. Patrick Parish issued the following announcement on September 6.
In the first reading, the Lord tells Ezekiel that he will be held responsible for the death of the wicked one if he does not speak out and dissuade from his way. In the letter to the Romans, Paul writes that the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. In the Gospel, Jesus gives instructions for correcting one another. He gives authority to bind and loose, and promises where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them. Our readings of today, work together to teach us about the real obligations of the law, which include gently correcting one another, so that our communities may be in harmony. Paul explains how we must do this and do all things, with love. Jesus promised to remain with us always.
