Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish issued the following announcement on September 13.

The Fall 40 Days for Life campaign begins on September 23 and lasts until November 1. It consists of 40 days of prayer and fasting, 40 days of community outreach, and 40 days of peaceful protest outside of Planned Parenthood at 933 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh. The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Pro-Life group have committed to pray outside of Planned Parenthood on Tuesday, September 29 from 1:00-2:30pm and on Saturday, October 3 from 9:00am to 11:00am. Please call Dianne at 412-366-7869 if you are planning on attending. Also, October is Respect Life Month. On Respect Life Sunday, October 4, 2020 at 2:00—3:00 PM the Pro-Life Committees of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will participate in the national Life Chain event by meeting at the parking lot of the Great Hall, 1003 Perry Highway at 1:45 pm. The chain will line both sides of the highway and respond to passersby with silent prayer. Please join us as we plead for God’s intervention into the horrible slaughter of our youngest brothers and sisters. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
