Did you always want to become a teacher?
No, when I was in high school I wanted to be a social worker. A neighbor steered me in the direction of education.
What is your favorite lesson to teach? I love teaching American History, especially the American Revolution because I like to see the excitement students show while learning how our country was started.
Tell us about your family
I have 6 brothers and 3 sisters. We grew up in St. Madeline’s Parish and I still live in the house where we were raised. We love to spend time together and until the pandemic, we would have Friday night dinner at my house each week. I have also watched all of my nieces and nephews (14) during the summer when they were younger.
What is your favorite ND memory: My favorite memory of ND would have to be the Student vs. Faculty in Family Feud. Father Zeuner answered the question, “What is your favorite after school snack?’ with “eggs”. He always put a smile on everyone’s face and the students were always excited to see him in the hallways.
