St. Martin of Tours Church, New Hope issued the following announcement on September 6.

The Adult Faith Study Ministry at St. Martin will be hosting two virtual sessions on the four foundational documents from the Second Vatican Council, the most pivotal event of contemporary Catholic history. 

Join us on Zoom for one or both virtual sessions: 

• Saturday September 19, 7:00am to 8:30am: Sacrosanctum Concilium and Dei Verbum 

• Saturday October 17, 7:00am to 8:30am: Lumen Gentium and Gaudium et Spes 

Of the 16 documents promulgated during the Council, these four – Sacrosanctum Concilium (Sacred Liturgy), Dei Verbum (Divine Revelation), Lumen Gentium (The Church), and Gaudium et Spes (The Church in the Modern World) – have primacy of importance to the Church and the faithful. 

The Adult Faith Study Ministry will be hosting these educational sessions to discuss the documents and how they’ve shaped the Church in the six decades since the Council.
