Our Lady of Mount Carmel CCD, Mt. Carmel is moving its starting dates for in class CCD to Sept. 20 & 21 due to the following news:

The Mount Carmel Area School District will implement virtual instruction for all district students, effective Friday, Sept. 4, through Thursday, Sept. 17, due to a fifth person …(testing +)

Fr. Frank Karwacki COVID-19 Precautions For Our Religious Eucation Program (CCD). Masks & social distancing will apply. 

Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, Mt. Carmel Ccd Begins Sunday Sept. 13th for 6, 7 & 8th grades from 5:45 P.M. to 7:00 P.M & MONDAY Sept. 14 for 1st grade through 5th grade. Classes will be in the CCD school following Covid-19 Precautions. Registration forms are available outside the front door of the rectory. Online is also available. Please inform the CCD Coordinator or the parish  if the student does not  have access to online studies at home if online studies would become necessary..

Precautuions Will Be Enforced For The Saftey Of All. Parents must check the health of their child bfore coming to CCD and if there are symptoms the child will not be allowed to enter.  We already have a temperature gun to be held a short distance from the forehead to check temperatures of each CCD student and teacher & volunteer. We  have purchased hand sanitizers for each classroom Social distancing will be strictly applied and the wearing of masks for all in the program.  If any parent would like to donate some more hand sanitizers it will be greatly appreciated.  Also with each registration form will come a sheet of paper describing all the necessary precautions and a Parent Waiver Form to Sign. Each student will have their own bag with a textbook and pencil which they are not allowed to share with others. We have only 50+/-students from 1st. through 8th. grade . Class sizes 7 or less . Some classes only 3 or 4.

  (All grades one through 8  included) If used weekly reports on progress and lessons completed must be submitted to Mrs. Katrina Gownley CRE or Fr. Frank. You must also fill out a Registration Form & Fee to be enrolled in our CCD Program.

Use Catholic Online School’s curriculum as your main curriculum or as a supplemental curriculum. Grade One Example of a lesson title : Heaven Catechism - Lesson - The Mass and Heaven-just click on title & proceed Our Lady of Mount Carmel CCD.

You can use another online program recommended by the diocese CatholicBrain.Com There is a cost which the parent can pay directly on line to CatholicBrain. Com. and when the child is registered with our CCD by filling out our registration form they will be exempt from our registration fee. A Registration Form & Fee is to used to be be enrolled in our CCD Program for on site attendance and the free online program .
