Sacrament of Baptism/Letters of Eligibility for Sponsorship
Arrangements are made with Fr. Forlano. Please contact the Parish Office for a phone appointment. Baptisms are permitted to be celebrated as long as the guidelines for church gatherings and social distancing are observed. Baptisms will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. every Sunday and will be limited to one family at a time. Baptismal preparation can be done on-line. Letters of eligibility will be issued after a phone or video interview with Fr. Forlano. The date of the baptism can be set after baptismal preparation for parents and godparents and letters of eligibility have been completed. Please contact Deacon Raymond Scipioni to schedule the Baptismal Preparation Session: rscipioni@yahoo.com.
A Baptismal Preparation Session will be held via Zoom on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7:00PM. In order to be a sponsor and/or to receive a Letter of Eligibility for Sponsorship, one must be a practicing Catholic at least 16 years old, who has received all of the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation), if married, married validly in the Catholic Church, or, if not married, living a life in harmony with the faith. Parishioners of St. Charles seeking Letters of Eligibility, please call the Parish Office for an appointment.
Sacrament of Matrimony
Necessary preparations require that arrangements be made at least six months before the date of the wedding. A date cannot be reserved at the church prior to the couple meeting with the parish priest. Please call the Parish Office to speak with Fr. Forlano. It will be expected that couples attend the sessions of the Archdiocesan Sacramental Preparation Program for Marriage. Visit phillycatholicmarriageprep.com for more information or to register.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all Archdiocese of Philadelphia Marriage Preparation Courses are being held as scheduled according to listed dates and times, but are now being delivered in a live webinar format until further notice. After completing registration, all couples are given instructions via email to join the virtual environment. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Scholarships are available to those in financial need. Email info@phillycatholicmarriageprep.com.
