St. Ann Parish Phoenixville issued the following announcement on Sept. 10.
Saint John’s Hospice is a Catholic Social Services shelter for men located in Center City Philadelphia. It was created as an outreach ministry to serve and assist the poor and homeless in the community. The brothers provide a hot meal (casserole), a bath and a bed.
St. Ann Parish has been involved with the casserole program for many years. The casseroles are the “Main Course” of a complete meal (including bread, water and dessert) served to hundreds of God’s poor and homeless who come to us for their daily bread.
Please join us by making a casserole to assist St. John’s in their mission to provide crucial, life-sustaining services with dignity, respect and compassion to homeless men in Philadelphia.
• Please deliver FROZEN CASSEROLES to back porch of the parish office by 9:30AM on Wednesday September 30 (you may deliver ahead of time to the Parish Office M-Th, 8-4)
• DATE prepared and MAIN INGREDIENTS should be marked on lid.
• Recipes and pans are available on the Parish Office front porch.
