St. Joseph Church recently issued the following announcement.

Registration for Catholic Youth Ministry of New Kensington 2020-2021 is NOW OPEN! We will begin our year virtually with a 4-week discipleship series. Our Monday Middle School ZOOM meetings begin on October 5 at 7:00 PM. High School Wednesday ZOOM meetings will begin on October 7 at 8:00 PM.  All registered youth should plan to pick up their “CMYNK DiscipleToolkit” after Masses on the weekend of September 19/20. These boxes contain everything youth need for participating in meetings, as well as materials for extension and enrichment of the topics we study together. Although our meetings will look very different from last year in many ways, our leaders are working hard to make sure our gatherings are faith-filled and FUN! We can’t wait to pray, learn, and laugh with you this year.  Families who are signed up for CYMNK Flocknote notifications should have received an email this week with the link to the online registration form.

In addition to registering for CYMNK Youth Ministry, all 8th grade youth should plan to register for the Sacrament of Confirmation. While preparation begins with participation in youth ministry in 6th and 7th grade, 8th graders will take part in Confirmation meetings via ZOOM on the 2nd Sunday of each month, beginning on October 11 at 8:00 PM. All families of 8th grade youth who participated in youth ministry in their 7th grade year should have received a link to the Confirmation Registration form earlier this week.
