St. Mary Church recently issued the following announcement.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The COVID pandemic has led us into unprecedented times. I don’t know about you, but I’m learning to hate phrases like “unprecedented times,” “new normal,” and especially “social distancing”—the very last thing we need in our society right now. (The term “physical distancing” would have been so much better!) On top of the pandemic, we have had a great deal of social unrest and we are at a difficult time politically. Our ability to work together and live in harmony seems somehow to have evaporated. In times like these, the normal difficulties of life can be all the more challenging. I think that’s especially true for families with students in various levels of education.
I have tried to get involved a bit with distance learning and virtual education, and I find these tasks very challenging indeed. I simply would like you to know that you are in my prayers and that I’m available to talk if you need to. You can reach me at option two at the St. Michael’s number: (814) 695-0912. If you don’t get me, leave a message and I’ll try to get back to you as soon as I am able. Let’s continue to pray for each other during these tough days!
