St. Michael the Archangel Church recently issued the following announcement.

Register Now for Faith Formation! 

Faith Formation registration is open!  Because of concerns regarding the spread of COVID19, the five Butler Area Catholic Parishes are offering two op)ons to our Faith Forma)on families: 

1) Homeschooling 

2) Half Traditional / Half HomeschoolingStudents a+end class in a traditional classroom every other Sunday and homeschool on the alternating Sundays.  Classes begin on Cateche)cal SundaySept. 20. You may sign up for whichever program suits you best by going to tinyurl.com/BACPFaithFormation. All materials print and onlineare provided for the students and parents.  We will not be offering Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) classes at St. Fidelis this fall for a variety of reasons related to the pandemic. We hope to reevaluate around Christmas)me to see if we can start inperson CGS sessions in the spring. We will keep you informed. In the mean)me, we encourage you to explore information and resources at cgsusa.org.  For now, we’ll be using the Alive in Christ textbook series from Our Sunday Visitor (AliveInChrist.OSV.com). It has an accompanying website called CatholicBrain.com to which every parish in the Diocese of Pi+sburgh has access thanks to a partnership with CatholicBrain.com and the New Evangelization of America. 

 If you historically a+ended Faith Forma)on classes at St. Michael or St. Andrew, please note that the Half Tradi)onal/ Half Homeschooling op)on offers classes at those locations every other Sunday, with students working at home on alterna)ng Sundays. Classes for Pre3 to Grade 8 are from 9:15 to 10:30am at St. Michael and from 9:15 to 10:30am at St. Andrew.  Students will receive inperson or Zoom reviews with Sister Teresa Baldi. She will offer inperson support for parents on the first Sunday of the month at 11am at St. Michael.  

If you’ve taken Catechesis of the Good Shepherd classes in the past, please note that our Faith Forma)on / CGS Coordinator Amanda Kramer is offering Zoom reviews for homeschooling students at )mes to be scheduled by the students’ parents.
