St. Monica Roman Catholic Church recently issued the following announcement.

"It's said, and it's true and it is't said to deceive you, Knock and it shall be opened to you (Mt 7:7);

but do it now while it's the time for mercy, not when it's the time for judgement." St Augustine

In today's Gospel the master conceded when his servant asked for mercy and forgave him his debts.

Was the servant grateful? NOOOOOOOO! When his fellow servant asked for the same treatment, he was MERCILESS!!!

On your ride hpme think about grudges you are holding, anger you are allowing to fester, and judgment you have passed on your friends and neighbors.

Have you turned a blind eye to your own transgressions? Not offering mercy tou our friends and family closes the door in the judgment and may incur a harsh punishment.

Throught Jesus; insititution of the sacrament of reconcilation (Tuesdays at 7pm St. Monica Saturday noon at St. Blaise) you can ask for God's mercy and receive His forgiveness while here on this earth and the grace you receive will help you to show mercy 7,77 or 539 times.

When the ginal judgment is passed you can share in the unending joy of eternity with God.
