St. Ambrose Church issued the following announcement on Sept. 13.

Next Sunday, September 20th at St. Sylvester Church at the end of Mass, we will have a short blessing of the bell , which is the bell from the original St. Sylvester Church dedicated on June 21, 1921. This bell has been cleaned up and placed outside our church in preparation of the Centennial celebration of the parish next Summer. Over the next 9 months, we will be preparing for this wonderful reminder and celebration of “100 years of celebrating the Faith in Slickville.”
