St. Aloysius Church issued the following announcement on Oct. 4.

Grouping 101 is committed to providing a Safe Environment for our children. The Diocese of Pittsburgh requires all parish volunteers over the age of 18 to complete the Safe Environment compliance process for the protection of children and youth in our churches and programs. Before you can volunteer, it is important to engage in the Diocesan Safe Environment process in order to understand the Safe Environment Policy and complete the necessary steps to become safe environment compliant. You will NOT be able to volunteer within the Diocese of Pittsburgh unless you meet all the requirements. We value all of our volunteers. Therefore, we are committed to providing support to ensure that we meet these requirements and ensure a safe environment for all children who participate in our programs.
