ST. ANDREW CHURCH: Stuffing, Turkeys, Monetary Donations Needed for Thanksgiving Dinner

St. Andrew Church issued the following announcement on Oct. 11.

Organizers for the Thanksgiving Community Meal tradition for over 20 years among churches of different faiths in the Butler are collecting Stovetop and other brands of stuffing throughout October. Also, donations of turkeys between 18 and 22 pounds may be dropped off at St. Peter hall at 127 Franklin St. in Butler every day between 9am and 3pm.  Monetary donations may be made out to St. Peter Church and mailed to Thanksgiving Community Dinner, St. Peter Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler, PA 16001. You may also drop donations in your church’s collection basket be sure to mark clearly that it is for the Thanksgiving Dinner. When our five churches are open for Masses, donations of Stovetop or other stuffings may be let in the lobbies / narthexes. In addition, donations may be brought to St. Andrew and St. Fidelis churches, which are open from 9am to 3pm Monday through Friday. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Thanksgiving dinner will be a takeout / delivery event only. To request a Thanksgiving delivery, please call 7244274153 by Nov. 13. Deliveries will be made on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, in the late morning and early afternoon. Thank you for your generous donations of green beans during September.
