St. Agnes Church issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.

Happy Anniversary, Saint Agnes Church! 

Our church was dedicated exactly 94 years ago today. The Philadelphia Inquirer wrote a story about the dedication, saying: "Amid great pomp and ceremony and in the presence of 2000 members of the Catholic church from many places, including a large number of clergymen from Philadelphia, Chester, Coatesville, and Downington, the beautiful new edifice of St. Agnes' parish on West Gay Street was dedicated to worship today."

Think about how many people have encountered God in our beautiful church in these past 94 years. What a special reason to celebrate!
