Applications are being accepted for the position of Communications Administrative Assistant for Butler Area Catholic Parishes. The administrative assistant will support the Director of Communications in all facets of communications for Butler Area Catholic Parishes, including (but not limited to) bulletin, electronic newsletter, website, social media, flyers, Google calendar, electronic signups, media relations / press releases. This person also will handle various administrative duties for Butler Area Catholic Parishes, working out of the Meridian office. He/she will be expected to create and maintain a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for the office, answer phones, provide assistance to walk-in visitors, register new parishioners, update databases, maintain sacramental records, schedule Mass intentions, mail weekly bulletins to shut-ins, post offertory envelopes to Parish Data System. The applicant should be well organized, able to meet deadlines, creative, and able to work independently. An associate’s degree or higher is preferred. Experience with Word, Publisher, Excel, photo editing, graphics / design, Constant Contact, Sign Up Genius helpful. Hours: 8am4:30pm Monday-Friday with the potential to work from home for limited hours.
