St. Barbara Church issued the following announcement on Oct. 25.

The Catholic Church offers us November, which begins with All Saints Day and All Souls Day, as the Month of the Holy Souls in Purgatory.

· On Sunday, November 1 at 3:00 PM we’ll gather for a short prayer service at St. Barbara Cemetery. It is only proper that we should remember in prayer those who have fallen asleep in the hope of the Resurrection. Rain or shine, please plan to join.

· This year we will have the All Souls Day Mass of Remembrance for all those who have died this past year at 7:00pm on Monday, November 2.

 · We also will have the Book of the Names of the Dead available virtually this year beginning on November 1. This will be displayed prominently on our website: www.stbarbara.org. You can add the names of your deceased relatives there, and they will be remembered in prayer each day at Mass during the month of November.
