Announcements

Press release submission Nov 2, 2020

Crocus spring equinox

Saint Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church issued the following announcement on Nov. 1.

Great News! Our newly merged St. Vincent de Paul Society is planning a four-church Holiday Food Drive which will take place on Saturday, November 7th  between the hours of vehicles at each of our church parking lots:

*Nativity Church

*St. Gabriel Church

*St. Germaine Church

*St. Valentine Church (use side parking lot

You simply need to pack a bag or two filled with non-perishable food items, paper goods, cleaning items or personal care products. Then bring your donation to the parking lot of your choice and place them in the trunk of one of the transports. As the vehicles are filled, we will take them to St. Winifred’s Food Bank, located on Sleepy Hollow Road. How else can you help us? We welcome any parishioner with a vehicle and a few hours to spare on that day to become part of our caravan of cars. Also, when we arrive at the Food Bank we will need volunteers to help us unload the vehicles and take the bags inside. If you can help us with either of these tasks, please call 412-881-4855 for more information. Our St. Vincent de Paul Society is available to help anyone living in our Parish and leave us a message. One of our members will return your call within 24 hours. Members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society
