Amen to Action Beaver Valley

‪November 14, 2020

‪8:00 am – noon

Amen to Action is an annual meal-packing event that has been held on the day after Thanksgiving in partnership with Meals of Hope and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in order to flip the focus on Black Friday to helping others. Thousands of volunteers would meet at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center with the goal to pack well over one million meals for Pittsburgh’s hungry and less fortunate. With the global pandemic entering its eighth month, we have seen many events canceled, including the beloved Amen to Action event downtown.

Thanks to the support of the Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation and area churches, we are excited to be able to host a pilot program for Amen to Action where we will pack the meals on a local level and the meals will be distributed locally throughout the Beaver Valley.

Join us on this exciting adventure as we will pack 100,000 meals ‪on November 14, 2020 at the former Quigley Catholic High School located at ‪200 Quigley Ave, Baden Pa. We will begin the day ‪at 8:00 am with a Praise and Worship service then kick off our socially distanced meal making event. The day will end with a grab n go pizza lunch from Ambridge’s beloved Frank’s Pizza and KLOVE will be on campus to broadcast the event.
