St. Angela Church issued the following announcement on Nov. 15.
We have not had hymnals in our churches since COVID. This was done for obvious safety reasons. We recently received the new 2021 Breaking Bread hymnals, which begin use on the First Sunday of Advent. The hymnals are very valuable at Mass since they contain the Sunday readings and a variety of hymns. In order to use the hymnals while keeping everyone safe, we have come up with the following plan. 2021 hymnals will be available in the back of the churches beginning this Sunday, November 15. I ask that you take your own personal hymnal and bring it to and from each Mass that you attend. This includes daily Mass. The hymnals are yours to keep. In order to prevent mixing the hymnals up at Mass, please write your name on both sides of the hymnal and add any other identifying markers that will help others to just handle their own hymnal. Please do not pick up a hymnal before Mass and return it to the back of church. This defeats the purpose of keeping everyone safe. I thank you for your efforts in this process. I believe that this will help us become more active participants at Mass. Please feel free to take books home for your loved ones who participate in our Masses via livestream. To Jesus through Mary, Fr. Terry
