St. Cyprian Church issued the following announcement on Nov. 8.

On November 28, 2020, history will be made for Black Catholics in the U.S. The first African American Catholic Bishop will be elevated to the College of Cardinals. 

The U.S. Church and African American Catholics rejoice with Archbishop Wilton T. Gregory who is the Archbishop for the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. Congratulations
