MOUNT ST. PETER'S CHURCH: The tradition of delivering fruit baskets to our elderly, homebound, and nursing home parishioners brings joy every Advent

Mount St. Peter's Church issued the following announcement on Dec. 04.

The tradition of delivering fruit baskets to our elderly, homebound, and nursing home parishioners brings joy every Advent. This year, we are acutely aware of the impact of increased isolation on these individuals. Due to the concerns of Covid-19, we will be delivering the baskets to parishioners at their door -- rather than go in to visit. While this is an unfortunate change, receiving a gift, seeing a friendly face, and being assured of our continued thoughts of them throughout this time will bring a much-needed sense of connection. It is a wonderful Advent activity for families!

If you are willing to help, contact Darlene Resek at 724-335-3536; or email Nancy Matteuzzi at nmatteuzzi@dioceseofgreensburg.org. Delivery is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12, at 9:30 a.m., which is when you can pick up your baskets in Marble Hall at Mount St. Peter Church.
